Drury University • Shutter Bus Photo Booth

Drury University....you had us at 'fireworks'!!! This back to school party was so incredibly dope, or lit, errrr whatever the kids are saying these days:) The Shutter Bus was on hand for Drury University's back to school bash in Springfield, Missouri and we have to say, this is one of the coolest things we have ever been a part of. Highlights included a Corgi in the bus (p.s. you never have to ask if you can take your dog in the bus...the answer is always YES), a legit marriage proposal, much to the shock and awe of every single person around the bus, and we had a 20 minute wait line ALL night. We can't wait to come back next year! Here are all of the shutter bus photo booth shenanigans that unfolded Monday night.

This Photo WINS THE NIGHT!

3 Reasons Your Wedding NEEDS a Photo Booth

No one on your guest list is attending your wedding in the hopes that they will have zero fun! While the ceremony can sometimes be a bit stressful for many brides and grooms, the reception is the perfect time to let your hair down, and the absolute best way to get your party started right, is with a photo booth for you and your guests to enjoy.

1. Photo Booth Prints make Really Cool Wedding Favors

More and more Brides are choosing to go away from traditional wedding favors. Renting your favorite photo booth can provide the perfect transition to do just that. By having a photo booth at your wedding, you not only provide your guests the perfect way to cut loose and have a little fun, but they will also walk away at the end of the night with a special memento from your wedding. Almost all photo booths offer prints right on sight at your wedding, but the best ones like The Shutter Bus will include a custom logo on your prints likely with the name of the Bride & Groom.

2. Photo Booths Offer a Great Way to Fill Time

After the ceremony, the Bride and the Groom are usually occupied with a receiving line, private moments, or wedding portraits. While you and your wedding party take care of official business, the wedding photo booth is a great way to keep your guests from getting anxious, or worse...leaving your wedding. Giving your guests this opportunity will also relieve the pressure of you and your new spouse having to rush through your wedding portraits.

3. Photo Booths Let Your Guest Have Fun!

Most definitely at some point during the night your guests will need a break from the 'cupid shuffle' and will be looking for something else to entertain them. Fortunately, you rented a photo booth for your wedding, so your guests are not lost in looking for their next fun opportunity. Maybe the best part about having the photo booth is that it's fun for all ages. Everyone from your grandpa to your three year old nephew can join in the fun.

The Shutter Bus - Chapter 1

I decided to start out on this journey almost a year ago. Last November, after browsing Craigslist ads for what seemed like a decade, I found a 1969 Volkswagen Bus for sale in Ft. Scott, Kansas. I made the hour drive over, asked as many questions as I could, and eventually struck a deal on the bus to call it my own. Fast forward 10 months and The Shutter Bus has come to life. While this babe was in the shop for the better part of the last year, I've been tinkering with possible names and logos, making hand made props and kiosks, making sure we have the best possible cameras and printers, toiling day and night over all the intricacies of the photo booth universe, as I want to make sure The Shutter Bus experience is one that is world class. This once decomposing relic has been restored to incredible condition and converted into a fully functioning photo booth for weddings, sporting events, birthday parties, corporate events, and anything else people can dream up. I have no doubt that the Shutter Bus is going to add life to any function!

Shelby The Shutter Bus is the perfect addition to my existing photography business. As you can see (below), the bus had its first photo shoot this evening and she is looking shiny and beautiful I must say! The coolest photo booth in our galaxy is about to take flight. Just a few more tweaks and she'll be good to go. BIG things are coming!
